A message from Katy Clark MP, Member of Parliament for North Ayrshire and Arran.
I wish everyone in Ayrshire a Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year!
Since being elected as the MP for North Ayrshire and Arran in 2005, I have made it my priority to campaign for well paid jobs, investment, better pensions and improvements in public services. I have set out to listen to all the people of North Ayrshire and Arran, whatever their political views, and to represent them all in the House of Commons. Throughout this year it has been my pleasure to meet with many of you. As we get ready to move into a New Year I will continue to press for investment and the well-paid jobs that our area needs. Employment in North Ayrshire and Arran, as in the rest of Scotland, is higher than ever before but a great deal more still needs to be done. In particular we need to do more to make sure that the jobs created are skilled and well paid. I will continue to aim for full employment, for public services to be kept in the public sector, better housing and the eradication of poverty. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the very best at Christmas and a peaceful New Year for all the people of North Ayrshire and Arran and their families.
