Stef Holmer is Arran's daily commuter to the mainland, and anyone using the ferry regularly will have seen him, lean, bearded and bespectacled, busy with a laptop in some corner. Nobody knows more than he does about what the weather (and the boat) may do.

Stef offers a weekly forecast based on shrewd and experienced reading of the signs, but stresses that he is not personally responsible for what the gods of the windy skies may throw at us.
